The Major Motivation for Not Smoking

If you are reading this article, then you have a goal that you share with thousands of other people. You want to stop smoking. But do you also have a clear picture in mind? Do you know what really counts when it comes to smoking cessation?

You will only win this battle if you know exactly what to do in order to give up cigarettes for the rest of your life and only if you have a clear picture of how to do it in your mind. There is also a certain amount of pain involved. You must let go of something that you have grown very fond of if and that hurts. You are not married to the cigarettes. You can always leave it and tobacco or else you will end up taking them to the grave. You have supported the addiction for so many years and now you have to give it up.

You can manage to stop smoking without gaining a single kilo in weight, too. And that can only be good! You have the  right to say no to cigarettes, and it will be the best thing you have done today and possibly the best thing you will have ever done. You want a smoke-free life,m don’t you? Quitting smoking is not something that just happens. It is no accident but instead is a concious decision! It is your decision. You have decided to live a different life.

They admire me for what I have done and for how I refrain myself from cigarettes every day. I do not weep for cigarettes, on the contrary, I celebrate the victory over my addiction and dance that I do not need any more cigarettes. I am alive today because my nicotine addiction is dead!”

You will feel no more pain and you will soon feel just fine because you have succeeded in letting go of a dangerous habit. You will wake up the next day and enjoy your new self. The addiction and the craving for cigarettes will simply vanish. Just take a deep breath. Breathe in and out... What a relief! You do not need to carry on much longer and you will be free from your addiction.

This kind of thinking should motivate you because it turns out that it has been used to motivate a lot of other people. Smokers are exposed to at least twice the risk of catching heart disease than non-smokers. You should always be aware of the fact that a lot of things are happening in your body when you put a cigarette in your mouth. This may seem so harmless and cool but it is actually incredibly stupid and extremely dangerous. Many people who loved cigarettes have ended up in cemeteries and they would not do it again if they were alive.

When should you start worrying about your health? Hello? Do you just worry every now and then? No, this is not enough! It is surprising that so many people smoke given today's medical status and the large amounts of money invested in the educational campaign against it. It is very difficult for many people to quit smoking. Moreover, many people do not think of the unfortunate events that can occur in their life simply because they consider only the immediate pleasure a cigarette gives them and don’t seem to care about what may happen in the long term.

The withdrawal symptoms connected with the cessation of cigarettes can be treated by nicotine replacement. But it is difficult to give up a vice, so you need will power time and time again. One thing is sure: you will not be recorded in the Guinness Book if you stop smoking. But quitting is still a good goal and if you quit smoking, you will reach a great personal success by giving up this dangerous habit.
