Allergy Remedy

Allergies affect most people in the world today. They are not serious but the symptoms are not so appealing. This has caused the need for scientists to research and find out some remedies for allergic reactions. Allergic reactions can be treated but not cured. This is so as the drugs simply suppress the symptoms and make the situation better. There are natural remedies while others are manufactured and prescribed by a doctor or bought over the counter. Omega 3 fatty acids really help in curbing allergic reactions.

Studies have shown that these substances found in walnuts, eggs and fish like salmon help in fighting inflammation and therefore people who take it more regularly are less likely to suffer from allergic reactions. This is a natural remedy. Combination allergy medications are good treatment for allergic reactions. They are mainly a combination of antihistamines and decongestants. The two medications now work as one. Other combinations are between asthma medicine and an allergy medicine. Mast cell stabilizers and antihistamine eye drops can also be mixed together to counter multiple symptoms for allergic reactions. These medications are best when prescribed by a doctor as some may have side effects that are not good for your body. Some decongestants raise the blood pressure levels and therefore are not good for people with hypertension.

Chamomile has helped many people get rid of allergic reactions. The problem with this natural remedy however, is the fact that it works for others while it does not for others. This is because chamomile is of the ragweed family. Rag weed itself is an allergen- a substance that leads to allergic reactions. In spite of this, there are people who are not specifically allergic to ragweed and therefore chamomile can be a remedy for allergies for them.

Bronchodilators have the ability to clear mucus from the lungs and open the air path to the lungs. They are mostly used by people who are suffering from asthma and are inhaled. With this, you are at ease when you cough and it is easier to cough out the phlegm. They relieve the congestion in the lungs and the wheezing sound that most asthma patients make. Mast cell stabilizers are mostly administered before exposing yourself to the allergen. This is when you cannot avoid it. They treat the allergy symptoms especially the inflammation of the bronchial tubes. They stop the mast cells from releasing the histamines.
